You know some days you wish you didn’t get out of bed. I bet that’s how Sam felt who loaned us a little blue caravan to sleep in for a week while Ellie has our downstairs bed to sleep on as she recovered from the operation to remove her appendix. After discussing with Sam where to put the caravan at our park over property I left with the intention of preparing a place to put it.I waited and waited. NO sam. Then a little while later I get a picture.

It wasn’t what I was inspecting. I thought perhaps he was showing me the place he had got it from and my thoughts were well he must have got it cheap. But then I realized ”I knew that place. It was just along the road. I couldn’t help it I text back. ”Why’d you park it there? I put the truck strop in the van and headed over to where it was. I found Sam talking to a property owner next to where the caravan went in. He had a digger and was finding as much rope or chain as he could to reach the distance to the caravan .I said to Sam” it could have been worse. For one the caravan might have gone right into the path of oncoming traffic and two the tide isn’t in. It was such a funny sight that people were taking cell phone snaps on the way past. Even Sam had to laugh. Sometimes things are just so impossibly stupid that there isn’t much more you can do. I won’t add to the embarrassment as to how it ended up there but I’m sure things were learned that day.!

It was decided to take it back to sans once recovered for a good wash and a pizza lunch. Then it got taken to my place where I would now need to spend some time doing repairs on it. Then off to the hospital to visit Ellie with the kids.!

Despite the long hard day retrieving the caravan I felt great spending time with Sam and having a great laugh during the clean-up. I think it was the fun of just hanging out with someone I can so relate to as a person. Different backgrounds perhaps, different ages but it seems that much of what people go through resonate with me in many ways.
