It’s not yet winter and yet the days are turning colder. we have fires most mornings and the snow on the hill tops appeared once again to remind us to get more wood in soon. It already has a hibernating feel to the days and all you want to do is stay warm in bed. Sadly when your over 50 the first thing you have to do when you wake up is go to the bathroom and that can be around 5 am or earlier sometimes. I get the fire going early to warm the truck for the family and begin the day with a cup of coffee and an aspirin for it’s blood thinning properties. On the agenda for today was to be some painting but the oil painting i did last week still hasn’t dried and i don’t have a suitable canvas to start another one. Oh well we have a friend visiting today anyway, who used to own a coffee cart in Murchison. My kids awake and the first thing they tend to want to do is play on there laptops. But what about the bunnies i tell them? They have 12 full grown one stray and 9 babies to look after. Mostly they have been good with their chores but sometimes when it’s cold like today, it takes a little more encouragement to get them outside. I tried to start the truck yesterday but the batteries had gone flat so i ran the battery charger for a while and managed to get it started. I’m still working on the device that charges the house batteries from the truck when it’s running. a lot of things still to get done before we travel, which I’m starting to believe may now not be until the winter school holidays.
Im feeling a little bit guilty sitting here writing this on my pc which i have donated to my wife for her writing ever since her own computer died a couple of days ago. I started a givalittle page and am also donating any proceeds from my book sold through here so that she can get it replaced and i can have my pc back. i had to put all her files and drives into my computer so when i go to look for a image or something i cant because my hard drive is sitting on the bench waiting to go back in. Im hoping she gets the amount she needs soon..
