It’s June. Winter has started and we’re going south, so far to dunedin. We spent a few nights in tekepo as it snowed and I found that much white snow all around us rather Bland and overwhelming at the same time. It was like sensory overload so I’m glad to be back on the coast. On nearing the city of dunedin we got a flat tyre so had to limp into town for a couple of new ones to replace our aging ones. Now we are parked in mosgiel at a freedom camping area and parked on a lean in the pothole filled spot. I moved my pillow to the up hill side of the bed. To hell with it. Been driving all day and likely to be leaving again tomorrow anyway. Covid level 1 tomorrow they say. Well it’s up to the airport staff now as to Wether we stay at level 1. Good luck with that as they seem to be incapable of much in the way of bio security. Not my problem now as like most people in new Zealand we did our part. The future is so uncertain now on so many levels that most predictions are out the window, up in the air, speculation at best. It might mean that we have a fair amount of negative outcomes for the future and yet it could also mean a thousand possible ways in which new paths can be laid. Perhaps out with the old and in with the new. People are more likely to think outside the box than they once did. I’m hoping so. I have to be the same too. Perhaps we can find our feet. I guess time will tell. Too many variables. It’s almost like learning to walk again.
