Well its all about to change again from living on the road and traveling to going back to living on the land, this time in a small village called Maruia near Springs junction in the north of the south island. I cant think how long i have been looking at real estate sites for the right piece of land to buy. Funny thing is we spent most of the money from the house sale so would need to borrow amidst a Covid 19 environment of all things and yet it seems that this was what we were supposed to be doing. in fact i felt confidently that this was the right path in an almost divine way, even though it was a boat i was after. I,m not too sad about it as boats are hard work and expensive but what isn’t these days. However in regards to the many many trees Serena has now collected and the children’s needs it would have to be the land that was the right choice and i will make the most of it. We think we will start a tree nursery for both native trees and specialize in bonsai trees. When we chose the land we had a couple turn up where were parked in their van. i noticed they had a solar panel on their roof that looked similar to one of the ones i wanted to get rid of so i asked them if they wanted it. They were happy to take it and we got chatting. it turns out the used to live in Maruia and they said we were lucky to get land there. they also recommended the school highly so it was like confirmation that this was the right way to go. but we still didn’t have any money. so we thought we would have a go at borrowing from the loans pool we belonged to and had our last 10 thousand invested in. we didn’t have anything to loose and it’s a great system because their isn’t any interest only reciprocity where by you pay back into it the amount your borrowed and the same amount again for the same length of time that you have the loan for so others can also borrow interest free. at the end of the time you get all the money back you paid in once the loan was paid and can keep it in their for others to use or take it out yourself. Kind of like compulsory savings. Anyway we put the request in and it was approved finally today so yay we have now the ability to buy the land and its kind of a bit overwhelming when i have been living like this for 6 years. Im still doing a rewrite on the book where the wind, blows based on our first 2 years traveling and then the updated wherever we roam segment and now we are moving to a new phase completely and its hard to keep up. I also started developing a site for my photography called picturemagpie.com<\/a>. a work in progress.
