Everything was going so well untill steam started rising from the engine. I didn’t think it was too bad as the motor wasn’t boiling and the engine still sounded OK but water was gushing from underneath the truck. Being a tipper cab there wasn’t much for it but to unload everything we had put into the cab that morning as well as pull the bedding up and floor boards up. It’s a mission and after 4 hours driving it’s the last thing we wanted to be doing on a busy highway with trucks roaring past. Eventually the people who were sent from roadside assist turned up and we tilted the cab only to find that the radiator cap had come undobe and was sitting on top of the radiator. I know that it was put on by the mechanic who topped it up so I was a bit disappointed that all this work was just because of something so avoidable and yet grateful it wasn’t worse, I hope. Its now at the garage awaiting inspection and we spend the first night in a motel with the kids. We also discovered mold growth under the bed again so I have to work on a better way of keeping our bedroom dry and moisture free and also a better way to lift the mattress for tilting the cab. It’s just stuff that happens sometimes and you have to cope with it and not loose your Noodle.
