For the last 9 years after beginning our journey we have felt like we were going against the flow. Not just social norms but everything including the schooling for our kids. It has taken a toll, as one would expect when you just get off the normal state of being. For a while we were even joined by the team of 4 million as they embraced their new normal during covid. But where as most have returned to a resemblance of what they were doing before COVID, we are still embracing our weird life. But if what we were going through the last 9 years could be described as the valley of the shadow of death, this moment would be the place where you are transported to green pastures and still waters. A place of rest and recovery. There has been so much going on over the years that it feels strange to be in this place. We’re not used to it and it’s been quite hard in its own way. We’re currently living between the truck and a tent in a paddock with all my stuff, Serena’s stuff and her art gear. It gets hot and sometimes cold in a tent. to some it would seem a tragedy and we still have no place to call home or place where we feel we belong. yet we also have peace and a chance to heal and break bread with God for a time.
