Life back to normal, at least that’s what they promised. That’s what we were going to be rewarded with. Only normal hasent returned. Thanks to the decision to induce COVID prison and massive support payments to keep businesses in the black, the whole country is now in the red. We have fewer nurse’s, doctor’s crying foul, but quietly in case they get fired and an economy driven less by demand for services and more from demands for climate change. We are finding it harder to sell our ghost carbon credits to overseas polluters because they are realizing that they really don’t actually care about climate change and that the whole carbon credits scheme was really just a bribe to allow them to continue and they remembered that the whole thing was vollentary anyway. People are stressed and stuck in a flight or fight loop with the political slinging match in full swing. We don’t want labor in because they made us drunk with Free money but left us with an economic hangover. we don’t want national because they work for the ritch, underfund things like hospital’s and we don’t want act because he just wants to Chuck everyone in jail for disorderly behavior which was largely brought about by freedom hating labour.Winston still keeps marching along to the beat of his own drum and the greens have tunnel vision. so staggering around under it all people are groping in the dark for things like hope, purpose, normality and cohesion. a return to the equalibrium they had before in a world they understood. Things like getting ahead, I’m assuming it ahead of the other guy. Or investing for tomorrow, retirement or whatever. I guess it’s because of our need to get back to a sence of stable familiar ground that I believe national will get in this election. Using soothing platitudes of back to normal, along the old lines and just going back to what was in general, will strike a chord in many people who are looking for certainty, comfort or escape from fright or flight. Even of it’s an illusion I doubt desperate voters will mind as long as the placebo creates in them a feeling of well being.I hope he can deliver a little more than just promise’s but I have my doubts at this stage but even less confidence that another party could create the same confidence. Then their is Brian tamaki and the umbrella corporation. I mean umbrella party that those underneath will find gets pulled away, leaving them out in the rain should they not like the color of the umbrella and then standing quietly in the corner as it has done year after year, almost forgotten are the democrats for social credit. Started in 1953 as an educational organization that has always stood contesting and the development of economic policy. Much of which is incorporated into government policy, eventually but never does it get a chance to gain entrance into parliament. The now deceased leader Chris leech was vindicated over the parties call for government to directly support local economics.Quote: One of Leitch’s concerns with QE is that banks might cream a huge profit through the “merry-go-round” of selling Government bonds to the Reserve Bank and then buying bonds from Treasury when it issues them to pay for the Government’s $50b Covid-19 fiscal programme.https://i.stuff.co.nz/business/121875714/has-the-social-credit-party-won-its-argument-after-all-this-timeSo where does this lead us. Old policy reintroduction to re-create old world feeling of normality or perhaps more infusions of ideas from social credit around a different way of funding things? All I know is that the current situation is pretty bad. Banks, supermarkets, meat industry all racking up seriously big prophits while the rest of the economy struggles to make any Gaines. But some old thinking still proves to be true. If you look for demand and the find a way to meet demand you can make money. Then you have the wealth required to meet needs. But focusing on meeting needs ahead of being able to pay for it only creates more debt and increased needs. If you don’t go to work you can’t pay the bills. A foundational principal that even the bible recognized was that if a man didn’t work he didn’t eat. But we have basically turned out economy into a free lunch whith fewer worker’s able to supply the lunches. the government increases taxes from the workers to pay for free lunches untill it realized it still wasn’t enough so it borrows more and forced businesses owner’s to pay more to the worker’s to pay for those free lunches as their income moved into the higherbtax threshold. At the same time businesses put up prices to pay for the wage increases which meant the only one better off was the government so the could continue to offer free lunches, which turns out not to be free at all in the end because everyone ends up paying for them one way or another.Anyway. A political discussion wasn’t supposed to be where this was supposed to go. I think if their was one thing that Ardern said that had any usefulness to society was this. Be kind. We’re all suffering from a hangover, granted one that she induced with her intoxicating brew. But we only have each other. Our kids still need us. Out teens still need us to look to be stable and in control and at peace. to give them a sence of continuity, stability and perhaps hope that they do indeed have a future when every sign being hung about the world with war, famine or pestilence is THE END IS NEAR.It’s not. It’s just the hangover of some seriously bad government decisions and a world in which some people Wish to have more power than others. The bible says that there really is nothing new under the sun when it comes to people and how they behave. Everyone is needed to keep balance and everyone’s input is important. But it’s a delicate dance to keep it Normal without running off to extremes.

COVID is finished.
